Friends and foodies in Kulim are no stranger to this cendol stall in Penang. Crowned as the best in Kulim, thus explains the name. Kulim Best Cendol serves this traditional delicacy just right opposite St. Anne’s Cathedral.

Quell the sweltering tropical heat by having a bowl of incredibly refreshing icy cold Cendol, especially when you are having a trip to the famous tourist attraction at Bukit Mertajam- St. Anne Church. You may find this little unpretentious stall by the road side selling Cendol.

It was a very hot day! Visited Kulim Road Best Cendol after a colleague’s wedding reception in Bukit Mertajam. Rich and fresh coconut milk and palm sugar complete this dessert.

Trying out Bukit Mertajam’s famous cendol, the Kulim Road Cendol . With that long queue for the cendol, fingers crossed of hoping not to get disappointed. The cendol was the highlight. Not being bad or what, Penang famous chendol is not as good as Kulim Road’s.

We are fans of Malacca-style cendol with thick gula Melaka and rich coconut milk, but this Penang-style cendol is probably the best I’ve had in Penang.

Homemade cendol with very good taste. The portion is generous for the price. The seating is by the roadside under a tent - gives the local vibes.
