Li Er cafe is a cute (air-conditioned, thank lord) cafe near Pulau Tikus. It showcases a selection of kuih, all of which are more appropriately-sized compared to the Liliputian bites at Moh Teng Pheow, and which are – in our opinion – infused with stronger flavours.

The small cafe located in the bustling Jalan Burma offers some of the best Nyonya kuih in the town. Check out the mouth-watering Nyonya kuih served at the corner and you will not able to stop your appetite!

As a Malaccan I grew up eating a lot of Nyonya dishes and kuihs. Something which is less common here in Penang. The food here is very nostalgic to me, the flavours all remind me of my childhood dishes my grandmother and other family…

Good food, good environment. I like the kuih here, the rendang chicken nasi lemak is fragrance, but the sambal too oily. The kuih (green and white) is good, their coconut filling is just nice.

The service was great, the food was delicious, the Nyonya kueh was very tasty and not too sweet, and the Hong Kong-style milk tea was good and strong. I'll try other dishes next time.
