So on my partner's suggestion, it was dinner at CRC Chinese Restaurant. One unique dish was a version of too tor thng (pig stomach soup) where a chicken is stuffed into pig's stomach and boiled in soup.

Update(CNY 2026)... A total disaster and flop. If you have booked yourself to CNY dinner set, cancel immediately. Food is bland, tasteless and not worth to money.

This is a long-established restaurant in Penang. We visited for lunch the other day, and it was moderately crowded. The staff were friendly, and the environment was bright and comfortable.

The food here is either incredibly salty or way too bland. For example, the crab omelette and hor fun lacked any distinct flavour whereas the sweet and sour pork should probably be renamed to sweet and salty pork.

This is a long-established Chinese restaurant. The dishes are fairly standard. Finding a parking spot here can be quite a challenge.
