Best CKT at No. 5 Char Koay Teow, hidden gem. The wok hei and taste is awesome. The side order of scrambled egg / Chung Ling Eggs was good too.

No. 5 Char Koay Teow was said to be strongly recommended by locals and since it's so near our hotel, St. Giles Wembley ; I guess there's no harm trying as I had plenty of time on my hands!

No.5 Char Koay Teow - wok hei! Long queue though. The famous No.5 Char Koay Teow. This stall has quite a reputation and after visiting, it’s easy to see why there’s always a queue.

The best Char Koay Teow in Penang. If you love the charcoal taste, this one is No. 1! If you prefer freshness, the crab + prawn + blood cockle char koay teow is best. I ordered the mantis prawn char koay teow.

I will not wait 45mins-1hr for a plate of Char Koay Teow in the heat but the stars were aligned and I only had to wait 10 mins during my maiden visit here. I was here on a Wednesday at about 1.30pm.

At RM11 a plate, this char koay teow is probably the most expensive on the island. The price may initially sound steep, but to be fair, I would say it is fully justified.

A recommendation from local. There are various options of top up such as crab, mantis prawn, sotong and duck egg. It enjoys its fair share of supporters. At 1pm, the wait was about 20 mins.

This is now one of my favourite char koay teow in Penang. Full of wok hei and generous with ingredients like cockles The downside is that each dish is fried individually, so there can be a long wait.

It’s a corner hawker stand next to a wall and at the side of a car park. CKT is very good. Great wok hei. Nice balance between cockles, prawns, chili, vegetables and Kway Teow. It’s a long wait but worth the wait.

The Char kuey teow taste was decent, but the standout was the Chung Ling fried eggs, rich in flavor. But, the serving time was really slow. I had to wait nearly an hour for the serving when I visited this place.

No doubt, the char kuey teow was a bomb! Full of Wok Hei and the cockles were super fresh! Except that it was very hotttt that day!! I was there early so there’s no wait required.

CKT is chau tar, too much sauce. Crab meat and mantis prawn is a good addition but doesn't make the CKT any better. Not worth the wait.

waited for 1 hour + for 2 plate of char kway teow overall the food is nice, got wok hey taste but slighty oil and waiting time is long
