We settled down at our first stop and placed our order at the Char Kway Teow stall, collecting a number tag while waiting. With time to spare, I set myself a second mission, to join the queue at Lum Lai Duck Meat Koay Teow Th’ng , a stall also recommended in the Michelin Guide .

Pasar Lebuh Cecil (七条路巴刹) is home to several interesting food stalls such as Cecil Street Sisters Fried Sago (姐妹七条路硕硪炒). Another popular stall is Lum Lai Duck Meat Koay Teow Th'ng (南来鸭肉粿条汤). I also enjoy the succulent duck meat which does not appear too dry nor tough.

Lately I have been patronizing the Duck Meat Koay Teow Th’ng at Lum Lai located in Cecil Street Market Hawker Center, located just beside the bustling Cecil Street Market 七条路巴刹. The specialty of this hawker stall is the duck meat!

First off, we had one of Puri’s favorite Penang food, the Koay Teow Th’ng. This stall is called the Lum Lai Duck Meat Koay Teow Th’ng . Lum Lai has been serving up delicious bowls of Duck Meat Koay Teow Th’ng for over 30 years.

A mention in Michelin guide. It serve only 1 dish which is duck kway teow soup. It consisted of duck slices and gizzards, fish and meat balls. All its ingredients were fresh and tasty especially fish ball. Deceiving looking broth.

Such a nourishing delicious bowl of duck meat kaoy teow. Hardly queued up at all! There was such a rich delicious flavor of the soup and lots of yummy garlic bits.

I ate this dish with micherlin at the Seven Roads Market that day. Personally, I thought it was just ordinary clear broth rice noodles. Since I was already there 😂, I figured I might as well queue up and try it if I wanted.

Located within a busy food centre, it had a visible queue. There is a Michelin Guide sign displayed at the stall, which initially caught my interest. The broth is light and well-seasoned, and the duck meat is cleanly prepared and tender.

A wonderful soup served from a stand in the middle of the market chaos. You simply must try it. The soup is so good that I was already ordering another while still eating my portion. A must-eat!
