The Garden Banana Leaf Rice is one of those hidden places in Penang by word of mouth. The eatery is in an open-sided shed near the roundabout at Heng Ee High School. Its entrance is from Free School Road, just next to the famous Banana Fritters Stall.

Went here for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very humble stall but you can really taste the heart in their cooking. The food was hearty, comforting and felt just like a home-cooked meal.

Great simple traditional indian set meal. Was told that the dishes are changed every day! Although simple, the flavours are good, making it an enjoyable experience to eat. Moreover, the staff are helpful, and the price is very affordable!
