Decided to drop in as our hotel was nearby and we wanted a last hit of assam laksa before leaving Penang. Initial taste was okay, but you can just go up to Auntie to "adjust" to your liking.

All the food and desserts were really great! I ordered the chicken rice, it’s not the usual white chicken, but one with dark sauce, which totally suits my taste. My mom had the asam laksa and said it was good!

wins by default by location on busy, yet food bereft, section of penang road opposite komtar. laksa is fishy and punchy, with asam and kantan leading the charge. heat is grab-by-throat intense.

The RM4.5 durian ice cream was delicious! I missed it last time I was in Penang due to a major water outage, so I made up for it this time!
