One of our family’s favourite local coffee spots for drinks and toast. The kaya butter toast and tuna curry toast are delicious, and the drinks are just as good.

The tuna apple cheese toast maintain the old style taste. The coffee is great. The nasi lemak has the banana leave smell and when it mixed with the coconut milk rice it is out of this world.

A very well known and popular kopitiam in Butterworth. Known for its beef noodle soup, it didn’t disappoint. Even though soup noodles aren’t normally my thing, this was very tasty (and better than the one available next door).

This is a very popular place with locals. It sells halal beef koay teow. This is quite good. The broth is sweet. The beef is nice and not chewy. They also sell toasted bread and half boiled eggs. Nasi lemak bungkus is also available.

Always crowded especially during peak morning hours, so be prepared to share tables. They sell beef balls noodle but their speciality is toast with kaya butter and various types of sandwiches like tuna etc.
